From New Jersey to Napa: One Trip That Turned Into a Tradition.
Journeying from my home state of New Jersey to Napa and Sonoma for work more than ten years ago, I figured it would be a nice trip and maybe a good story or two. What I didn’t expect was to fall completely in love. Between the wine, the scenery, the food, and the wonderfully slower pace of life, I was hooked - and I’ve been heading back every year since. What started as a work trip quickly turned into an annual tradition.
I'm always joined by my husband, who is more than happy to assist with the very serious business of tasting wine, eating glorious food, and offering his opinions for reviews. Someone has to do the hard work, right?
This site is for people planning trips to Napa and Sonoma Valley who want practical, honest guidance on wineries, hotels, food, and experiences - without the pressure to overplan or pretend you know the difference between “hints of leather” and “notes of forest floor.” Wine country should be fun, not stressful.
